This parent and child class is all about getting into the soil, and having fun. Weekly classes meet at different organic farms, wilderness parks and the ocean to discover the sights, sounds, textures and joy of the natural world.
Our toddlers program is ideal for children age 2 to 3, yet some younger and older children have had lots of fun over the years, so we welcome all young children with parents or other responsible guardian. We meet weekly to explore the earth and play in nature. A recent class met at a local garden. We harvested mulberries, ate and painted with them, planted four varieties of sunflowers in pots to take home and care for, transplanted cantelope starts in the earth then WATERED everything : ) Each class meets at a new location with different themes and activities. We encourage everyone to wear clothing that can get earthy. Children who are are able to walk get more out of the class than crawlers, although we invite everyone to join in. We no longer offer make up classes for missed classes in this series.
