Beginning with an exploration of The Ecology Center’s veggie garden and ending with the preparation of small-plate meals alongside professional garden instructors, teachers and local chefs, this children’s program emphasizes the real food journey from “farm to fork”.
Recommended for children ages 6 to 12.

This week’s Farm to Fork is a program of the Ecology Center, with support from Earthroots Field School and food grown at South Coast Farms.

Earthroots Field School offers classes that cultivate a sense of care and connection between children and the natural world. Classes take place year-round throughout Orange County at Farms, Beaches, Wilderness Parks and Community Gardens. www.earthrootsfieldschool.org

Farm to Fork is a monthly garden & cooking class offered at The Ecology Center for children ages 6-12. Other ecologically minded workshops, presentations, installations, celebrations and volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. www.theecologycenter.org

South Coast Farms is an organic, 28 acre fruit and vegetable farm & farm stand located in San Juan Capistrano, home to The Ecology Center. www.southcoastfarms.com
