Homeschool Cooperative Forming in Fountain Valley, Fall 2007.
Looking for families in Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach to create a homeschool coop with. This coop will be designed to meet the needs of boys ages 5-7. The coop will be set up for no more than 6 boys. Group instruction will take place three days per week for 4 hours each day. Parents may drop children off or stay to be a part of the activities. Each group instruction day will be facilitated by two parents from the coop. Parents will rotate so each family has a parent teaching one day a week per child. (If a family has two boys in the coop, that family would be required to instruct two days of the week.)We will be using Ruth Beechick's Three R's homeschooling guides. Beechick promotes learning through meaningful activities rather than reliance on textbooks and workbooks. Her methods cost little or nothing to impliment. Her guides are $14.00 for a set of three.
